The Age of Courage

COURAGE - “Coeur-Age” - The Age of the Heart :::

I am learning that an *open* heart so often feels, initially, like a broken one. In those moments when we are brought to tears in holding space for another, when we are triggered by our friends and loved ones, when we feel pained, lost, abandoned, alone. Overwhelmed. Drowning.

An *open* heart often feels, initially, like an anxiety-filled one. A panic grip - an urge to make it stop, to wall people out & ourselves in, to find ways to keep our feelings from hurting us and other people. To control. To subconsciously light ourselves on fire.

The beauty is this: we have a choice. To have the COURAGE to FEEL IT and stay open. The magic is just on the other side. To realize that these ‘undesired’ feelings are gatekeepers urging you - “Yes, dear one. You’ve found it. Look there. A few paces more. Keep your heart open, there’s a treasured truth waiting to be revealed.” A power-source we have long-suppressed. And how has that served us but to cut us off from ourselves, our friends and families, and our communities who - eventually and usually in short order - trip these heart-triggers?

So I invite you to ALLOW these feelings to exist, one moment at a time. To honor them by FEELING them. To let them show you where the healing - your healing - lies. To learn what your open heart feels like. To realize the greatest strength lies in vulnerability. In hearts who feel the most. This has been one of my greatest teachers and dearest friends of the past year and in my work. To lean into the ache, the shadow - and follow through into the Love, the Light.

We are entering the Age of the Heart ::: COURAGE. So if you’re having as many heart-openIng opportunities as I am, I lovingly invite you to journey through them. It’s magical on the other side, my brave friends. See you there. ❤️🌈🤗

Onward and Upward, Farther Down and Deeper In. 🦅🌈❤️
